After months of preparation, planning and organization, "Ottopia - The European Children's City Magdeburg" started today. Organized and carried out by the European Youth Education Centre Magdeburg (EJBM), more than 110 young people will meet as part of the large-scale educational project.
Since July 12, 50 children and young people from a dance group from Kharkiv have been guests at the European Youth Education Center Magdeburg (EJBM). As part of the “One Week of Peace” project, an initiative of the EJBM and the Diocese of Magdeburg's Partnership Action East, the young guests are experiencing a week full of light-heartedness and normality far away from the war in their home country.

Last week, our team of volunteers for the “(E) United in Diversity” project arrived. ?
Volunteers from Bulgaria ??, Austria ?? (Hey, we rarely see you guys around! ), Poland ??, Spain ??, Lithuania ??, Georgia ??, Italy ?? and the Czech Republic ?? are helping us to draw the attention of young people in Saxony-Anhalt to the European elections ?️ and raise awareness of European identity ?? and values.

The school tour of GOEUROPE! and the EUROPE DIRECT Halle started yesterday, this time focusing on the ?? ?️ European elections on June 9, 2024.
The event kicked off at BbS Wittenberg, where around 150 pupils fought their way through our Europe Battle, puzzled over mobility options in our Escape Room and put their knowledge to the test in our Europe Rally. Our volunteer TEAM EUROPA (teameuropa.eu) provided the necessary input with workshops and other information offers.
Also very popular: the Wahl-O-Mat of the Saxony-Anhalt State Center for Political Education, which we had in tow.Our next stops for this week: (again) Wittenberg, Oschersleben and Halberstadt - we're already excited! ?Bonjour! Since Monday we are back in our partner region Centre-Val de Loire in France ?, with 25 students from all over Saxony-Anhalt.
