The European Youth Education Centre (EJBM) is currently hosting an inspiring group of young volunteers as part of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme. Over the coming weeks, they will contribute their creativity, energy and international perspectives to our work — and you will also see much more of them on our social media channels.
A truly European team
Our current ESC team brings together volunteers from across Europe, including Italy, France, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Austria and Sweden. Coming from different cultural backgrounds and experiences, they form a vibrant and diverse group united by a shared motivation: to engage with social issues, collaborate across cultures and contribute to meaningful educational initiatives.
This diversity is exactly what makes the ESC experience so special. Through living and working together, the volunteers exchange ideas, learn from one another and build friendships that cross borders.
What the volunteers will be working on
During their time at EJBM, the team will support and enrich our educational work in several ways. In particular, they will:
- develop creative campaigning materials
- work on topics such as democracy, human rights, European values and opportunities for young people
- support educational activities at EJBM
- learn through teamwork and intercultural collaboration
- create new social-media content that shares their experiences and perspectives
This means that in the coming weeks you will see more stories, posts and insights directly from our ESC volunteers across EJBM’s social media channels. Their posts will give a behind-the-scenes look at their project, their learning experiences and life at EJBM.
What is the European Solidarity Corps?
The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a programme of the European Union for young people aged 18–30 who want to make a positive impact in society. It offers opportunities to:
- volunteer abroad (individually or as part of a team)
- develop solidarity projects in local communities
- participate in humanitarian aid volunteering (up to the age of 35)
Through these activities, young people gain valuable skills, intercultural experience and the chance to contribute to causes that matter.
