We are looking for people who are passionate about Europe, intergenerational community and memory work.
This ESC Team will support our efforts to trace the history of our centre and community in the context of memory work, to situate our centre within the local community and spread European ideas, values and opportunities. Thus, we will produce (digital) information walls in several languages, develop historic action bounds, connect with local organisations and people via joint events and collect ideas for joint projects in order to promote an open-minded, connected neighbourhood.
Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms with generally four people (towels and sheets are provided) at the European Youth Educational Centre Magdeburg. Since our facilities can also be booked by outside groups, the living arrangements can be subject to change due to bookings by outside groups. The volunteers will be provided with food to prepare meals with the group (unless meals are provided by the organisation) as well as 7€ pocket money per day.
Week 1 | Team-building and getting to know each other |
Week 2-3 | Memory work and historic quests |
Week 4-5 | Neighbourhood Activities and evaluation |
