Im Mittelpunkt der deutsch-französischen Jugendbegegnung steht die Frage, wie junge Menschen Europa erleben, diskutieren und mitgestalten können. In Workshops, Debattenformaten und kreativen Methoden setzen sich die Teilnehmenden mit Demokratie, europäischen Werten, politischer Beteiligung und gesellschaftlichen Unterschieden auseinander.
Zum Programm gehören unter anderem interaktive Methoden wie „Speed Dating Europe“, „Europa ohne Worte“, „Privilege Walk Europe“, „European Values Ranking“, Silent Debate und Barometer-Debatten. Außerdem vergleichen die Teilnehmenden politische Systeme in Deutschland und Frankreich und entwickeln im Kreativ-Workshop „Europa 2050“ eigene Zukunftsideen für Europa.
Neben den Workshops bleibt viel Raum für Begegnung und Gemeinschaft: Sprachanimationen, Teambuilding, Spieleabende, ein interkultureller Abend und gemeinsame Freizeitaktivitäten fördern den Austausch in der deutsch-französischen Gruppe. Exkursionen in Magdeburg und Berlin ergänzen das Programm, unter anderem mit Besuchen bei politischen und europäischen Lernorten.
Die Jugendbegegnung richtet sich an junge Menschen aus Deutschland im Alter von 18 bis 25 Jahren, die Lust haben, sich mit Europa, Demokratie und gesellschaftlichen Fragen auseinanderzusetzen. Eingeladen sind Teilnehmende, die Freude an Austausch, Begegnung und Diskussion haben und offen dafür sind, junge Menschen aus Frankreich kennenzulernen.
Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich: Die Begegnung findet auf Deutsch und Französisch statt, eine Teilnahme ist aber auch ohne Französischkenntnisse möglich. Sprachanimationen unterstützen das gegenseitige Kennenlernen und erleichtern die Kommunikation in der Gruppe.
Gesucht werden junge Erwachsene, die neugierig auf europäische Themen sind, ihre Perspektiven einbringen möchten und Lust haben, gemeinsam über die Zukunft Europas nachzudenken.

Youth Exchanges at EJBM
European Values – sei dabei! Eine Woche lang dreht sich alles um Demokratie, Menschenrechte, Vielfalt und Europa. Du triffst junge Menschen aus verschiedenen Ländern, tauschst dich über eure Perspektiven aus und erlebst, wie internationale Begegnung neue Ideen und Freundschaften entstehen lässt.
Unter dem Titel „United in Diversity: Exploring European Values“ geht es eine Woche lang um die Frage, was europäische Werte im Alltag bedeuten. Gemeinsam beschäftigen sich die Teilnehmenden mit Demokratie, Menschenrechten, Vielfalt, Identität und Zusammenleben in Europa.
Das Programm verbindet interaktive Workshops, Diskussionen, Gruppenarbeit und kreative Aktivitäten. Themen sind unter anderem Values in Everyday Life, Culture and Identity, Diversity and Inclusion, Democracy and Human Rights, Democracy in Practice sowie Human Rights and Me.
Ein besonderer Teil der Begegnung ist die gemeinsame Projektarbeit: In internationalen Gruppen entwickeln die Teilnehmenden eine gemeinsame Aktivität, bringen ihre Perspektiven ein und präsentieren am Ende ihre Ergebnisse. Außerdem ist ein Austausch mit Alexandra Mehnert, Mitglied des Europäischen Parlaments, geplant.
Neben den Workshops gibt es viel Raum für Begegnung und Gemeinschaft: Kennenlern- und Vertrauensübungen, Reflexionsrunden, interkulturelle Abende, Filmabend, Spieleabend, Silent Disco und Farewell Party gehören ebenso zum Programm wie ein Besuch der Magdeburger Innenstadt mit Actionbound.
Die Jugendbegegnung richtet sich an junge Menschen im Alter von 13 bis 15 Jahren aus Sachsen-Anhalt, die Lust auf internationale Begegnung, neue Perspektiven und Austausch über Europa haben. Du triffst Teilnehmende aus verschiedenen Ländern und verbringst gemeinsam mit ihnen eine Woche in Magdeburg.
Geeignet ist die Begegnung für junge Menschen, die neugierig auf andere Kulturen sind, gerne mit anderen zusammenarbeiten und sich für Themen wie Demokratie, Menschenrechte, Vielfalt und europäische Werte interessieren. Du musst kein Vorwissen mitbringen – wichtig sind Offenheit, Interesse und die Bereitschaft, dich einzubringen.
Da die Begegnung international ist, solltest du dich auf Englisch auf einfachem Gesprächsniveau verständigen können. Im Programm gibt es viele gemeinsame Aktivitäten, Workshops und interkulturelle Abende, die das Kennenlernen erleichtern und Raum für neue Freundschaften schaffen.

Youth Exchanges at EJBM
Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms with generally four people (towels and sheets are provided) at the European Youth Educational Centre Magdeburg. Since our facilities can also be booked by outside groups, the living arrangements can be subject to change due to bookings by outside groups. The volunteers will be provided with food to prepare meals with the group (unless meals are provided by the organisation) as well as pocket money.
