Vom 17. bis 23. Februar 2025 fand in der Europäischen Jugendbildungsstätte Magdeburg (EJBM) der internationale Trainingskurs »Mindful Connections: Enhancing Mental Awareness and Resilience in Youth Work« statt. Jugendfachkräfte aus Frankreich, Spanien, Rumänien, der Ukraine, Griechenland, Serbien und Deutschland kamen zusammen, um sich intensiv mit mentaler Gesundheit und Resilienz in der Jugendarbeit auseinanderzusetzen.

Die Europawochen sind wieder da! Vom 30. April bis 31. Mai 2025 dreht sich in Sachsen-Anhalt alles um Europa – und Ihr könnt dabei sein!
Ihr seid ein engangierter Verein, Verband, Organisation, Initiative, Schule und Hochschule oder eine ähnliche Institutionen in Sachsen-Anhalt? Habt Ihr eine spannende Idee, um europäische Themen in den öffentlichen Diskurs zu bringen? Ob Workshops, Vorträge, Filmprojekte oder Begegnungen – die Europawochen bieten die perfekte Plattform für Eure Projekte!
Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms with generally four people (towels and sheets are provided) at the European Youth Education Centre (EJBM). Since our facilities can also be booked by outside groups, the living arrangements can be subject to change due to bookings by outside groups. The volunteers will be provided with food to prepare meals with the group (unless meals are provided by the organisation), as well as 6€ pocket money per day. Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to fixed rates based on the distance traveled, as per the regulations laid down in the Erasmus+ programme.

Vom 15. bis 18. Januar 2025 fand die Abschlusskonferenz unseres zweijährigen Projekts »We Care« in der EJBM statt. Das Projekt, bei dem das EJBM als Lead Partner agierte, wurde im Rahmen einer »Key Action 2 – Cooperation partnerships in youth (Erasmus+)« durchgeführt und lief von Februar 2023 bis Januar 2025 (24 Monate).

Wir freuen uns, euch auf ein spannendes Interview mit unserem Bildungsstättenleiter Christian Scharf hinzuweisen, das IJAB veröffentlicht hat. Seit Anfang 2025 trägt die Europäische Jugendbildungsstätte Magdeburg (EJBM) das »Quality Label for Youth Centres« des Europarats – eine besondere Anerkennung unserer Arbeit in der Jugendbildung auf europäischem Niveau.
The focus of this training course is on »mental health and resilience in youth work«, a topic that has become increasingly important in light of recent global challenges such as the pandemic, social instability, and economic uncertainties. This course aims to provide youth workers with a comprehensive understanding of mental health, resilience-building strategies, and the support structures available at both national and European levels.
Throughout the course, participants will explore a variety of practical methods and tools designed to promote mental well-being among young people. By sharing experiences and discussing best practices, we will focus on strengthening resilience, fostering mental awareness, and creating supportive environments for youth.

International training courses in the international educational and youth work field offer diverse opportunities for educators, youth workers and volunteers to enhance their skills and knowledge on a global scale. These courses typically cover pedagogical techniques, curriculum development, and educational technology, fostering a cross-cultural perspective.
Participants engage in collaborative learning, gaining insights into varied teaching methodologies, youth engagement strategies, and cultural nuances. Ultimately, these programs equip educators and youth workers with the tools to create more inclusive and effective learning environments and youth development initiatives.
The EJBM regularly offers various international training courses in Magdeburg with different topics and learning objectives.
EJBM training courses are primarily aimed at professionals who are currently actively involved in youth work. Volunteers in the field are also invited to attend. If there are more applications than places available, a pre-selection procedure will take place.
Vom 12. bis 15. Dezember fand unser jährliches Treffen mit internationalen Partnern statt. Eingeladen waren nicht nur unsere langjährigen Partnerorganisationen aus ganz Europa, sondern auch Freiwillige und Engagierte der EJBM, Fachkräfte aus der Region sowie Mitglieder unseres Jugendbeirats.

Am 03.12.2024 waren wir gemeinsam mit einer Gruppe engagierter junger Freiwilliger aus ganz Europa an der Berufsbildenden Schule I des Salzlandkreises WEMA in Staßfurt aktiv. Diese Freiwilligen, die uns im Rahmen des Europäischen Solidaritätskorps unterstützen, brachten ihre eigenen Erfahrungen und Perspektiven ein und sorgten für einen lebendigen und inspirierenden Austausch.

In der letzten Woche nahmen wir als langjähriger Partner am internationalen Treffen von »Cities, Regions and Islands of Learning« in Eindhoven (NL ) teil. Die Veranstaltung fand vom 26. bis 28. November 2024 statt und brachte 50 internationale Teilnehmende aus Europa, Asien, Afrika und der Karibik zusammen, die sich mit digitalen Lernökosystemen und innovativen Anerkennungssystemen beschäftigten.
